What are eStatements?
eStatements are electronic statements of account that are delivered on a monthly or quarterly basis, which will take the place of your paper statement. 

Is there a cost associated with receiving HEWFCU’s eStatements?
There is no charge to receive eStatements.

How do I sign up for eStatements?
Log onto Internet Home Branch, click on the Preferences button, then click on e-Mail Services.  Click on My e-Mail Subscriptions. Click on View Disclosure and accept.  Click on the Preferences button, then click on e-Statement Selection.  Select Electronic from the drop-down menu and click on the Change button.  If you encounter any issues, contact a Member Services representative at 202-488-5400 or 1-800-742-5582.

How do I receive my eStatement?
After you are signed up, log onto Internet Home Branch, click on the eDocuments button, then click on View eStatements.

Why was there a requirement that I provide my e-mail address to sign up?

Your e-mail address allows us to send an e-mail notification that your statement is available on Internet Home Branch.

Will my HEWFCU eStatement be available on Internet Home Branch if for some reason I haven't received my e-mail notification?
Yes, the eStatements and e-mail notification are independent communications. If you have not received your e-mail notification, your eStatements will still be available on Internet Home Branch.

What software do I need to view my eStatements?
To view your eStatements, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader.

How do I get Adobe Acrobat Reader if I don’t currently have it?
Adobe Acrobat Reader is available for free download at Adobe’s website. To download, click here.

How do I print my eStatements?
In the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar, press the printer icon.

How do I save my eStatements?
In the Adobe Acrobat Reader toolbar, press on the diskette icon.

Can I still receive paper statements after I enroll for eStatements?
No, you can receive either only paper statements or eStatements. You cannot receive both.

Why can't I receive the statement(s) of my joint account?
We must deliver the statement to the primary account holder.

Is my eStatement secure and safe?
Yes, HEWFCU uses a VeriSign Class 3 certificate with 128 bit encryption to allow our members to transact business in a secured way.  

When will my eStatement be available?
Your eStatement will be available during the first week of the statement cycle.

Can I get my eStatement e-mailed to me instead?
No, your eStatement cannot be e-mailed to you, as e-mail is not a secure way to deliver your statement.

How long will my eStatement be available?
After you enroll, your E-Statement will be available every month or quarter for up to one year.

Can I have my eStatement e-mail notification sent to more than one e-mail address?
No, we can only send your E-Statement notification to one e-mail address.

How do I notify the credit union of my new e-mail address?
Contact Member Services at 202-488-5400 or 800-742-5582, or by e-mail at member_serv@hewfcu.com.

Can my eStatement be exported to other programs?
No, HEWFCU E-Statements can only be saved as PDF files.

Will I be able to get my credit card statements via eStatements?
No, monthly credit card statements are not currently available.
