Credit Card Safety
- Carry only the cards you intend to use.
- Keep a list of your account numbers and their customer service phone numbers in a secure location at home, in case you need to report a lost or stolen card.
- Don't assign the same PIN to more than one card.
- If you sign a sales slip that has a carbon, keep the carbon or tear it up (completely).
- Never allow a salesperson to write your card number on a personal check as proof of identification.
- After the sale, make sure the card returned to you is yours; then place your card in hour wallet or purse.
- If you return a purchase, make sure you save the credit receipts.
- Shred unwanted financial statements and records.
