Phishing Alert

This morning, HEW Federal Credit Union was informed of an attempt to compromise member information by "phone phishing" credit card accounts through calls using our name.  The call is a combination of a recording and a live person that inform individuals that their credit card will be potentially deactivated, and that they will need to provide account information to prevent this from happening.  We are currently in the process of tracking down the party responsible for this fraudulent activity.  

HEWFCU will never instruct members to disclose their credit card information using these means.  If you ever receive a call of this nature, never proceed.  HEWFCU is focused on the security of its members, and will take every measure to ensure that your information is safe.
