Visa has notified HEWFCU that Heartland Payment Systems, a national processor of credit and debit card merchant transactions, has identified a security breach within its systems.  Visa is currently in the process of identifying compromised accounts.  Please be assured that HEWFCU, as always, is carefully and thoroughly monitoring all of our Visa products accounts to ensure the protection of member information. In addition HEWFCU and our partners employ the latest technologies for preventing and identifying fraud on our Visa credit and debit cards. HEWFCU will contact you if Visa identifies your account number as one of those exposed.  As a reminder to all members, we ask that you continually monitor your accounts and contact us immediately if you notice any transactions that you have not authorized.

 
HEWFCU Visa credit and debit cards are protected by Visa’s Zero Liability policy, which guarantees that you will not be liable for paying for unauthorized purchases in the event of fraud.
