The Voting Process for 2005 Elections
The voting process will include both online and paper
ballot (if required) voting.
The online voting process enables a member/voter to go
to any computer with Internet access and use a link from the
HEWFCU Web site in order to access the electronic ballot login
page. Below you will fi nd detailed procedures for online voting:

1. An email, containing a special link, will be sent to all
eligible HEW Federal Credit Union members with valid
email addresses on fi le. All other members may click
on the Annual Election link on the HEWFCU Web site
starting March 24th, 2005. Clicking on either of these
two links will take the member to the voter login screen,
where they will be required to enter two pieces of
identifying information.

2. Once the voter enters the election site, they can view
candidate profi les along with photographs.

3. An individual votes by clicking in the box next to the
desired candidate. A check mark will then appear in the
boxes that have been clicked on. If a voter selects more
than the specifi ed number of candidates, an error message
will appear explaining that they have already voted for
the maximum number of candidates for that position. The
voter has the option to de-select a candidate in order to
change their vote, until they click "Submit".

4. Once the voter selects the candidates they desire,
a review page will display the candidates they have
chosen and explain that by clicking on the submit
button on that page, he/she will confi rm his/her vote.

5. If at the review page a voter decides to change a
selected candidate, they can return to the previous
page, uncheck the box next to that candidate and check
the box next to a different candidate.

6. When the voter clicks "Submit" on the review page,
this fi nalizes the vote. After this point, the voter cannot
change his/her vote or log back in to the election site.

7. Once the elections is closed (4/22), online votes will
no longer be accepted, and the elections results will be
provided to HEWFCU.

For those requiring a paper ballot, please follow these
procedures:
1. Request for paper ballots must be received in written
form at the following address:
Survey Research Associates, LLC
Attn: HEW Federal Credit Union Election
1240 Deming Way, Suite 301

2. Ballots will be mailed, upon receipt of written request,
to all eligible voters.

3. All paper ballots must be returned, in the postage paid
envelope provided, by midnight of April 22nd.

4. All questions regarding ballots and voting should be
directed to the following phone number after March
24th:
